Is Yoga for me?

Anyone can start yoga, even if you don’t feel like you are very flexible or very strong. These things will improve the longer you practice. Yoga isn’t all about being bendy and flexible. Yoga builds up strength and stamina. Being bendy is fine, but if you don’t have the strength to hold the bendy position, that’s when you can hurt yourself.

Yoga is about your body of course, but it’s also about your mind and emotions.

Yoga is a process, a journey, and there’s a lot of good to be had along the way. The amazing thing about yoga is that it’s always evolving and changing, so it never gets boring.

One of the most difficult, but liberating things about yoga is letting go of the ego and accepting that no-one is better than anyone else. Everyone is doing their best on any given day.

What do I need?

Please bring a yoga mat and blanket and wear comfortable clothing that allows your body to stretch.

Important: it is advisable not to eat a meal before attending a class. Your digestive system needs time to process food; 2 hours for a light snack and 4 hours for a full meal.
